The Managing Director of JCM is Ms. Uma Devi Chandran who has 28 years of working experience, some in the financial services sector and others in education and training. She has about 13 years of working experience in the education industry. Her last position was Operation Assistant Manager (in 4 years she enrolled about 500 logistics students). She holds a Diploma in Secretarial from Bedford Girls College and Professional Diploma in Business Management Practice from UTMSpace. She has attended many personal development courses, namely Problem Solving and Decision Making, Senior Management Training programme, IT courses, Financial Services courses, Bills Management and Import Export courses and Quality Management courses.
She has a wide network in the logistics industry including Port of Tanjung Pelepas, West Port, North Port, Jardines, Kontena Nasional, Century Logistics Bhd, Integrated Logistics, Carrefour, Air Asia, FMFF and AFAMAS.
School of Professional and Continuing Education (UTMSPACE), an entity within the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), was established in July 1993 and acts as a one-stop learning centre. UTM SPACE offers a life-long education programmes that contribute towards the development of the nation's human capital. For those who may not have the opportunity to pursue their studies in conventional academic programme, UTM SPACE offers the Professional Diploma courses.
